The Experience
We host farm dinners in our 120-year-old renovated barn. Dining at Claverach is a true farm-to-table experience. Our menus are based on the seasonal produce coming in out of our fields and local meats from neighboring farms.
Dinners are held in our 130--year-old renovated barn. Guests are seated at long, communal tables. Dining at Claverach is a slow-food experience, with space between each course to allow for conversation between guests and enjoyment of each individual dish.
Most of the produce that we use for our dinners is grown right here on the farm. We rely on relationships with our local farmer friends for local sources of chicken, pork, beef, lamb, and dairy. With the exception of seafood, all of the proteins that we use for our dinners generally come from within 60 miles of the farm. We occasionally splurge for seafood when we can find something sustainable and seasonal.
While we strive to create an elegant food experience, eating at the farm will bring you closer to nature than dining at most restaurants. The barn is warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter than a climate-controlled building, so we recommend dressing for the season. You can also expect a short walk up our gravel driveway from the parking area to the barn, and having to leave the barn to visit our bathrooms (modern, be assured) located across the courtyard. Guests are also encouraged to tour the gardens, orchards, and vineyards surrounding the barn during aperitifs and between courses. High heels are not recommended!
Because our menus are based on the produce coming out of the fields at any given time, we do not announce the menu ahead of time. We can accommodate vegetarians if given at least one week's notice prior to the dinner. We can also leave pork products off of dishes for any guests that do not eat pork. No substitutions are available for any other dietary restrictions. Email rachel@claverachfarm.com to notify us if you need a vegetarian meal or to request no pork (you can also specify these needs on our checkout page).
Farm Dinners
Farm Dinners are six-course meals. Although beverages are not included in the cost of the meal, our bar is open during farm dinners. Our bar features natural wines from around the world (including our farm!), craft beer, and seasonal cocktails. You can look at a sample wine list here. If you wish to bring a special bottle of wine from home, our corkage fee is $25 per 750 ml bottle. No other outside beverages are allowed on the farm. The maximum reservation size that we can accommodate for farm dinners is 6 guests. For larger parties, please consider booking a private event.
