Claverach Farm is 300 acres in the midst of a larger 1000 acre family property. We have about 15 acres of fruits, vegetables, and wine grapes. Our focus at Claverach has always very much been on the soil, because better soil translates to better flavor.
Our growing and winemaking practices are very different than that of most midwestern vineyards. We grow grapes very densely and on steep slopes. We farm as organically as possible. In the cellar, we use minimal intervention with the goal of making fresh, alive, and terroir-driven wines.
We host farm dinners in our 120-year-old renovated barn. Dining at Claverach is a true farm-to-table experience. Our menus are based on the seasonal produce coming in out of our fields and local meats from neighboring farms.
